Hello!

I’m Maggie, owner and founder of Ohio Special Education Consulting. I've been in education since 2009, with a focus on special education and Ohio’s Jon Peterson and Autism scholarships since 2014. From working in the classroom to serving as a special education coordinator to being a stepparent of a child on an IEP, I have experience with all sides of the IEP table.

I’m passionate about empowering and educating parents. Many parents are unfamiliar with the world of special education and often struggle to know what questions to ask or how to advocate effectively for their child. That’s where I come in! Whether your child has a learning disability, Autism, reading struggles including dyslexia, difficulty with executive function, social interactions, ADHD, or monitoring impulsivity - I love working alongside parents to explain their rights and help them understand what can be included in their child’s IEP.

Additionally, I understand the time and work involved with being a Jon Peterson and/or Autism scholarship provider. I love partnering with providers to give them the freedom and peace of mind to serve more students while I handle the paperwork on their behalf to ensure they get paid on time and don’t miss important deadlines.
