Hello!

I’m Maggie Bender, the founder and owner of Ohio Special Education Consulting. I've been in education since 2009, with a focus on special education and scholarship since 2014. From working in the classroom to serving as a special education coordinator to being a stepparent of a child on an IEP, I have experience with all sides of the IEP table.

I’m passionate about empowering and educating parents. Many parents aren’t familiar with the world of special education and don’t always know what questions to ask or how to advocate effectively for their child. That’s where I come in! I love working alongside parents to explain their rights and help them understand what can be included in their child’s IEP.

Additionally, I understand the time and work involved with being a scholarship provider. I love partnering with providers to give them the freedom and peace of mind to serve more students while I handle the paperwork on their behalf to ensure they get paid on time and don’t miss important deadlines.
